Your plan doesn't have to be 25 pages long, and it does not have to be pretty, but it does have to be workable and take the strategic visiondown to the tactical activities. It should also provide milestones to gauge your own success. If this is your human capital roadmap blog, you will need to be able to check things off as you accomplish. Lastly, it has to have a measurement or benchmark component to it, some way to say,'Yes we are doing good and fulfilling our goals,' or'No this is not working.' Staying open to market feedback is essential in the infancy and toddler stages of a business venture. When you see something that is not working, try something else. Do not try to overcomplicate things. Keep it simple. Do more of what works and stop doing what marketing roadmaps doesn't.

Wanna-be's fear looking stupid in front of their friends. E's are willingly risk making fools of themselves, realizing that long-term success is a good trade for short-term reduction of image. Surround yourself with people who have proven results and copy what they do.

Businesses today are led to believe that all they need to do to build a successful business is produce some type of attention-grabbing form of marketing and they'll create leads at will. Nothing could be farther from the truth. And that's just in the area of marketing. What about generating fast cash flow? EVERY small business needs to generate fast cash flow. So how can you do this as a small business owner? What about generating profits? Generating more cash sales roadmaps flow is terrific. But not if you don't get to put any of it in your pocket at the end of the day. How do you want the answers to each these issues?

This first formula is possibly the most important; many individuals do this WRONG! Getting into the perfect market is the basis on which a successful business is built. Do this right, and nothing stands in your way. Do this wrong, and you will hit a brick wall.

Check your progress. Just like any trip, you want to look at the map every now and then; to be sure you're still on the right road. If something is not working, the sooner you figure it out and make the necessary adjustments, the sooner you'll be back on course. Strategic Business Plans should be well loved not a nice to have done and beautifully bounded on the shelf never to be looked at again.
